One thing that doesn’t get talked about all that often is, “who is going to take care of my children while I’m in labor?” Whether you have one child or more, I know the worries that accompany that thought. I understand that the question of who will care for your kids while you give birth is far more than logistical—it’s also highly emotional. When hired as a sibling doula, I am on-call and prepared to provide trusted, reliable care. When I arrive, I start the routine you set forth and don’t stop until a parent, family member, or other caregiver is ready to come and take over.
The birth of your children is something you’ll never forget. Whether you are birthing at a hospital, at a birth center, or at home, you deserve to be physically and emotionally free to focus on the hard work you are doing to bring a new life into the world. A sibling doula will seamlessly integrate into your family, helping your children stay calm in their routine, process what’s happening, and feel special. And when you reunite, you will all be better positioned to thrive as a new, expanded family.
My rates for this service is $35/hour during the day and $200 for the night, starting from 10:00pm-6:00am. There is a $500 deposit and part of that goes to 2 prenatal visits for your children and me to get to know each other.
